Our Team
Jill Anderson, Principal
Jill Anderson received her Bachelor’s degree in Special Education at Illinois State University, and Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Principal certificate at Northern Illinois University. She is entering her 19th year in special education, starting as a teacher for high school students with multiple disabilities. Jill was an Assistant Principal at a similar public day school for students with moderate to significant needs for 5 years before she joined the Park School family as Principal. She has a great deal of experience collaborating with and leading teachers through curriculum and assessment development, transition planning, safety, and behavioral concerns. She is an advocate for her students and strongly believes in regular collaboration with families. Her experiences both as a teacher and an administrator have shaped her philosophy of education: that all students can learn and make growth and should be taught skills needed to continue to learn for the rest of their lives. When Jill is not at Park School, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, appreciating music and theater, exploring the outdoors, or shopping at flea markets or antique stores. She is happy to have found a second home at Park School!
Alyssa Hofeld, Assistant Principal
Alyssa Hofeld received her Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from The University of Wisconsin - Madison and her Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Concordia University - Wisconsin. She is in her 11th year of her career in Special Education and has served students in a variety of special education settings including self contained classrooms and co-taught general education classrooms. Alyssa spent summers of her teaching career supporting students in Extended School Year (ESY) programs and has experience supporting students with needs similar to those at Park School. Alyssa worked as the IEP Interventionist at Park from 2021-2022 and found a passion for the students and families Park serves. In the IEP Interventionist role, her support of processes and protocols to improve student outcomes sparked her interest to pursue her current role of Assistant Principal. In addition, Alyssa’s passion for enhancing and promoting a positive school climate and learning environment for all is a driving force behind the work she does at Park School. When not working, Alyssa enjoys spending time with friends and family on the weekends, exploring other cultures and cuisines through travel, and trying new experiences and restaurants in the Chicago area!
